I wouldn't have agreed to rolling the tape if I was Jenn. I'd have no need to see it after I saw who he really was- as it is embarrassing that she couldn't see how superficial/manipulative/smarmy he was. She should have just believed the other men on the show who had issues with him. At one point she said 'do we have a choice?' when Jesse asked about rolling tape. I'd have excused myself- but a PP is right that they've never NOT shown the proposal- and this isn't the first couple to be broken up before the episode airs.
I hope I don't have to see this guys bumpy creepy lips and gummy smile ever again. He looks like a creep. He is a creep. I can't imagine him and Maria being together- so much teeth and lips and sociopathy- barf.

+1 and followed Maria immediately after the breakup? Come on.

While he was in the show-bubble, he bought into it hook/line/sinker. Then he went back to his normal life and did a "what happens in Vegas (i.e. Hawaii) stays in Vegas" switch. He was back to reality and the showmance was over....it didn't fit with his regular life.
Either he had a girlfriend that he went back to, or he is a sociopath who deserves an acting contract for being THAT immersed in his tv character. Either way, he's toxic.
I don’t think that’s the only explanation. I’m going with the explanation that he’s engaging in Self-destructive behavior. There were some text messages between the two that were released to a reality TV blogger today. Jen has not denied them. Basically Jen threatened to break up with him and over text message she says she was “just overreacting” and didn’t mean it. Not blaming her, but theres definitely two sides of the story. She’s threatening to break up with him because he’s not acting how she wants, then of course hes gonna feel like he’s not enough for her, which is what he told the whole world last night.

Or he is just a phony baloney who wanted to win. My take.

I don't think your take is right.
My take:
Devin goes back to real life and treats his show-mance like it was just play-acting. He bread-crumbs Jenn and isn't responding to her for weeks/months. At some point, she says the stuff about breaking up -- like "maybe we should just break up" since she's tried of being ignored and ghosted. It's not that SHE wants to break up, but she's seeing the situation for what it is: her so-called "fiance" is no longer interested in her. So, what do you expect a logical person to do in that situation? It's not that Jenn ever wanted to end the relationship, but she could see that she was in the relationship pretty much by herself.
Devin is just trying to selectively use bits and pieces of their conversations to make her look bad and make himself less hated.
You just made that up in your head though. Nothing about Jenna’s thinking during the show made her sound alike she would be healthy in a relationship…and using I will break up with you as a manipulation / game is further evidence of that.
I know people love to hate but I have no issue with Devin ending the relationship when it wasn’t healthy for him. Jenn wasn’t in love with him on the show, and clearly the relationship was never a healthy one.

That sure sounds like her. Loving the drama!
