It looks kind of cluttered and soulless at the same time? I bought a similarly 90’s-tastic house (kitchen, paint colors etc), but it was tidy and “safe” (ie no colored millwork panels on weird places like ceilings) and looked super cozy and warm despite being staged with furniture obviously belonging to octagenarians. Also the landscaping was absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn’t have bothered with this one because it’s both weird and not special, and cluttered therefore possibly dirty.

Weird, tacky finishes that need to be redone and location on a busier state road? This is not a $1.6M house.

Surprised nobody mentioned this as this house was sold as a shell (unfinished, builder probably ran out of funds during the crash). Whoever bought this spent the least amount of cash, getting dated materials (even for 2009) and trying to capitalize on the sq footage & lot that it has.

No way this house didn't sell because of the color scheme and floors like everybody is saying(that's a small investment into a 1.6m house) - this house needs a tremendous amount of work everything from the poor condition driveway, updating bathrooms, update and fix the weird lay out of the kitchen, weird/dangerous catwalk, fix small closet and bathrooms for a huge house. After all this, you're left on a peninsula that's impossible to walk out from. I would stay away unless you can get a significant discount which the sellers don't seem inclined to do.

I like the cute gazebo in the back as well as the double primary bath vanities.
The kitchen cupboards look really pretty w/the plants placed on top though I know not many people share this decor style.

I think the main reason no one is showing interest in the home is due to the home’s decor, lack of presentation + it’s a tad messy.
The pictures are very very unimpressive as well.

I say if they clean up the house, replace the decor w/more modern touches & take some better photos the home could sell.

Take the listing down. Fire the realtor and get someone who knows what they’re doing.

The engineered hardwood floors are horrible and hideous. They look like they're in good condition, but there's way too much variation in color between the boards, and they should have done finish in place floors instead.

NP. Agree. It looks like there's a screened in porch (?) but the only picture you get is a bunch of plant clutter.

This house needs painting, professional staging, and a landscape cleanup. Then professional pictures and start again in the Spring. And marketing tip - being almost next to St. Mark's will be a big plus for some buyers. I live a couple of minutes walk from Our Lady of Good Counsel and there are people that buy in our area to be close to the church/school.

Very dated (needs to be entirely repainted inside), columns (ugh) and other weird features on the walls, terrible layout (lots of dead space), and only 4 bedrooms for that price.
