He had a very sad upbringing. I can understand why he gave that response.
His mom and dad sound absolutely awful. They put him in foster care at age four while they each remarried and had other children. I find it so bizarre that he would ever want to see them again.
I understand that was a temporary arrangement and he returned to his mother after a few years with them. The foster mother was his nanny who lived next door.
How is that an excuse? Who would put their child in foster care while they remarry and raise other children? Neither his mother nor his father ever really wanted him. I can’t imagine the feeling of utter abandonment that would haunt you throughout your life. What a terrible thing to do.

Yikes.
I don't know the age of his Belgian Shepherd. If it were an old dog, then I can understand his wanting them to be buried together.
He’s a perfectly healthy dog. Read the article. To kill a healthy dog because a human wants him buried inside a coffin with him is really awful. Seriously.
I did read the article but didn't see an age.
It’s 10 years old. I cannot believe you support what he wanted. Wow.

NP. I think his mindset was probably that the dog would be so confused and sad without him, it was a kindness to put him down. But I’m glad his family didn’t follow his wishes and that the dog is safe.
