Yeah, I'm pretty sure when a marry marries you for your youth he dumps you once you lose the entire reason he married you. It's the flip side to a woman marrying a man solely for his money. She's out when the money is gone.

Healthy marriages are based on more, that's how they survive.

This reminded me of a distant friend (friend of a friend) that married at 28 to a guy who was in his late 50s. Sure he owns his own house in Boston, adult kids already out of the house, no in laws to contend with. And she said the same thing, that she will be cherished forever just by being so much younger. I wonder if she'll still be saying that in her 50s.


There's something really creepy and strange about your worth in the relationship being based on being younger. There's something toxic about this. It's like it's not a real relationship.

What an idiot, you shouldn't marry a guy twice your age for a house in Boston. You marry a guy twice your age for a house in NYC, a house in London, a house in Santa Barbara, and a boat.

My husband is 73 and I’m 61. Today he played three sets of tennis, two singles, and then he played golf walking 18 holes and shot in the low 80s. He’s definitely not partying tonight but I’m not sure a guy 20 years younger would be either. Some older guys are doing just fine but many aren’t.
