I meant the vibe. The predominant feeling. I stand by that- Richmond is less woke, more Southern, more cliquey, preppy.

Depends on your kid which they prefer.

DP. The white kids at W&M are perhaps more ideologically diverse and intellectually curious than those at Richmond, who can tend toward the country-clubby.

Not sure about the surrounding areas, but Richmond's student body is much less woke than W&M's.

Yeah, "quirky" is what people say when they're trying to convince themselves their ordinary suburban kid is somehow different and more special than hundreds of thousands of similar kids.
