I work in a preschool and you have no idea how many times the primary emergency contacts are not reachable so we need to move to emergency contacts.
Once I had exhausted all of the emergency contacts and had to start googling the parent’s supervisors phone numbers so I can get a hold of the parents.
Yes, once that happened. Once. You know what happens at my school? They call and don’t reach me because I’m pooping or on the other line or maybe in a work meeting and the number doesn’t pop up as being from school, so they don’t leave a message and IMMEDIATELY start calling the emergency contacts, who also don’t pick up right away but would check a message or see a text. Because it’s 2024. So they fly through the emergency contact list when all of us are just sitting around, unaware that Larla needs to be picked up because she barfed.
