I would suggest a steamer for your 10-year old over an iron.

No they iron their own clothes.

I went through a phase in junior high when I starched and ironed my t-shirts. I got over it. teach your DD to iron, but maybe have her hang her shirts instead, if she has the closet space. People in double digits who get picky about laundry get to do it themselves.

Are people not folding/hanging promptly out of the dryer? I find this negates the need for most ironing, including DH’s work shirts which I only buy in cotton/poly blend.

Downey wrinkle release spray is good in emergency but its a chemical so for daily use, buy wrinkle free clothing, set dryer at wrinkle release, hang clothes as soon as they are out of the dryer.

I was helping to iron my dad's work shirts by 10 for sure.

But ironing a t shirt for school is over the top.
