I'm watching the mens basketball. Most of them are wearing compression tights or socks. How come the female beach volleyball players don't think they'd benefit from compression leggings?
I wouldn't want to do a sport requiring a Brazilian wax.
love to get sand in my compression socks.
They are so tight nothing gets in.
Sand gets in anywhere

Absolutely fit and could not care less what somebody like OP thinks about what they wear. Those track and field athletes are just so accomplished and should be commented on for that, not what they're wearing.
Why don't other sports like mens gymnastics, break dancing and mens pole vault feel compelled to show off their incredible bodies? It feels too much like Hollywood where women are pressured into nude scenes, ignoring their acting chops.
I feel like the Olympics ultimately diminishes women by showcasing women’s bodies which do not naturally exist for 99.9% of real women.
The Olympics is an absolute celebration of bodies that are exceptionally fine tuned to be the best in the world. It is very backwards to say that diminishes anyone. It’s the pinnacle of human athletic achievement.

They have on problems walking around nude all over Europe and South America. Going entirely nude to hot baths and saunas is so common in Asia.
Wearing running bottoms and a sports bra is quite literally a nothing burger to many people in the world except stupid ass Americans.
+1

Have you seen men’s diving? Do they need to wear those skimpy Speedos to perform the dives?

+1, I don't watch the Olympics to see people who look just like me. These are elite athletes. You think my DH looks like the average male Olympian? Honey, please.
I was really inspired by the 1500m women's final because many of the top competitors are moms including one athlete who had a baby just last year. The gold medalist took a long break from the sport after a traumatic birth and then returned to become a world champion and repeat Olympic champion. There is a 100m sprinter with a similar story. Watching these women race it never once occurred to me "oh those shorts are really short." I was focused on their speed, their grit, their perseverance. It's inspiring.
If you can't see that because you are distracted by the way that if their upper thighs or bare midriffs, I feel bad for you.

So the fast marathon runners can wow us with their skills, and the also rans are left wowing us with their abs and underwear outfits?
You mean the gold medalist sprinters? Don’t watch the Olympic events that so offend you.
No, I'm talking about the rest of the marathon field running in underwear.
They had a choice of multiple outfits to wear that’s what they chose.
When I do hot yoga, I choose a similar outfit
