someone put up a tweet showing the donations by state. I don't recall all the swing states, but there were definitely a significant size coming from the upper midwest. FL also had large numbers. That was a surprise.

Were they? How many of the 40k would have sat out Biden, especially in states with restrictive voting laws where they would have to stand in line for hours to vote? Maybe take time off work. Part of the problem wasn’t Biden v Trump. It was Biden v not voting.

But those 40k could swing the election. How many votes did Biden win GA by? How many Black women live there? How many might not have shown up for Biden but will for Harris?
You don’t need to change millions of votes. You need to change 100,000 in the right combo of states. Say, NC and GA, both of which have large populations of Black women who could swing those states. And serve as bulwark in VA.

They originally expected 1K. Then 3K. Then 18K. By the time it got up to 40K it was clear:
