More than twice the overall student population yet same small class size plus power 5 sports. My Deac claims they get a fair number of transfers from Davidson from kids who found Davidson too small.
LOL! No one transfers from Davidson to WF -- that is just fantasy. Davidson has D1 sports across the board and a much higher caliber of student.
It’s significantly easier to get into Davidson from the private schools my kids attend, just have to be in top half of the class if you ED, top third RD.
Davidson had a 12.5% admit rate this year. Last year it was 14.5% vs 21.5% at WF. That's not even close. Your stats are pipe dreams.
You don’t get it because you are a public school parent. Slacs love private schools. Once you get beyond the top 5 slacs, which doesn’t include Davidson, it’s pretty easy to get in the rest of the slacs from a top private. It’s not just Davidson, it’s all of them.

Yes, Davidson has D1 sports but they aren’t in a major conference and they aren’t good at anything except track and field.
The kids I know who are at Davidson have considerably more mixed feelings about it than the rah rah parents on DCUM. It’s ridiculously small and the athletes socialize only among themselves.
I'd imagine athletes don't tend to like liberal arts colleges; they are the odd ones on campus.
I know multiple kids at Davidson. One recently graduated and said he wished he transferred to some where with more social kids or was an athlete. The other is a recruited athlete and said the non athletes are quirky. So yes, I agree with you if you you have a quirky kid, Davidson might be perfect for them.
Huh... I once asked dcum for recommendations for a nice but nerdy STEM kid and dcum steered me away from Davidson because it had a jock/party vibe.
Never mind, I checked back and that description was for W&L, not Davidson.

“Very poor” meaning kids whose families make 100k-175k
That is poor. Sorry.
