I don't like him, the teacher tip line was insulting, but this is a good thing, as is the decision he made to support the freeing of the research lab beagles who were being mistreated.

Our FCPS already enforces this in classrooms. I’m not getting the praises for This as it’s already in place in a lot of N. VA districts. My guess is that schools will required to be more strict. No cell phone use during class. Do people really think that teenagers won’t be able to bring a cell phone into a school and not use it during lunch or passing period time? That’s just not happening nor mandatory.

And before anyone complains that it’s only MS and HS students with cell phone addictions, from personal experience I’ve dealt with second graders calling mom from the class on their cell phones demanding to be picked up from school for one reason or another.

No, read the EO. It includes guidance on how to implement a ban and a requirement to do so.
