Is this just a case of different-strokes-for-different-folks, or did we miss something?
Compared to other Liberal Arts Colleges, it has a very lackluster and underwhelming campus. DC thought he wasn't going to want an LAC after Amherst (first tour) but loved all the others. It's pretty in terms of being in New England, but the actual buildings and amenities are pretty piss poor.

I think it’s going to get even better with the new student center and dining commons currently being built. Williams way too remote and no other surrounding colleges so no real college town. You walk out of Amherst and there are a number of restaurants nearby.
What did you think of Connecticut College?
NP - my DS told me it wasn't for him before the tour even started, tho I suspect that's because it was a saturday morning and the campus was very quiet. TBH it was a lovely tour, I was little surprised there was not official info session but we weren't too serious about the school any way (kid likes big state schools at it turns out.) It's a very uniform campus, perfectly pretty, for someone who wants NESCAC it's a good choice I think and not as competitive as some of the others.

Same with DS. I was shocked how quickly it went from his ED pick to him clawing me to get out of the tour and back into the car.
Again, where did they attend instead?

Anonymous wrote:We had the most dumbfounding info session at Amherst. The AO couldn’t put a coherent sentence together, rambled, and gave little to no info. When a prospective student in the audience asked a question he told him to to take out a brochure and read aloud from it to the group. So odd. The guy was older and we left concerned for him.

Not everyone can go to Brown
An acceptance rate of 9 percent to Brown's 5 percent isn't much of an improvement.
