I did dark chocolate last 2 days, and it works.

Then today I bought a Twix because I needed to get some cash out at the grocery store.
Gosh , I am a terrible chocolate addict.

LOL. Next time, at least make it one of those dark chocolate Milky Ways! Or some dark chocolate covered almonds.

Op here
Will remember this! Thanks

Oh, those chocolate cocoa dusted almonds - blue diamond I think - are really good.

The only chocolate I can have in my house is very dark chocolate - 70% cacao or higher. I don’t crave this kind of chocolate and can eat it in very small quantities without feeling like I have to scarf the whole bar, and sometimes the bars sit for weeks before I eat them.

Sugar is insanely addictive, the neuroscience and nutritional biochemistry research is undeniable. Sugar is also toxic in the body when it is separated from fiber in the natural state of sugar. The best thing you can do for your health is to purge your pantry and fridge from all sugar laden food products and consume it only in its natural state, attached to fiber in fruit and vegetables and very dark chocolate.

Donate your chocolate gifts to the break room or ask your students not to give candy in the first place - apples are better for teachers, anyway!

Also, for when you can’t resist, you might check out Lilly’s chocolate. It has less sugar. I know Whole Foods sells bars.
And you can look for sugar free— Russell Stover has some that you can find in grocery stores or CvS. I buy them for my dad sometimes, as he is diabetic.

Yes they are super processed, but some of those atkins bars and chocolate shakes are DELICIOUS and if it helps you break an addiction it’s worth it. The best ones I’ve tried are:
Peanut butter cups
Caramel nut clusters
Coconut dark chocolate bars (like a mounds)

Thanks!
These chocolate ate by Atkins? I love Mounds!

DP. I started with the no sugar chocolates by Russel Stover. I like caramel; so I get the bag with the assorted caramels. After a short while, I came to prefer the dark chocolate one. But when those are gone, the milk chocolate ones suffice - though I tend to eat two of those instead of just one.
They also have "peppermint patties" and coconut ones and peanut butter cup.

Don’t blame yourself, they’re trying to keep you addicted. But ask yourself, could you have gone to an atm?
