I think people don't appreciate that some of these niche sports are dominated by international competition.
NP and Squash mom here. I'd hope that anyone spending $30K a year on squash training is aware of the squash landscape at the college level and whether their child has any prospects of even playing at that level. Basically, your child has to be a top 50 junior player in the US (in their graduating year) to get recruited at a decent school and at least in the top 20 to be recruited at any Ivy.
