Good for you. This thread is not for you, then. But you felt compelled to comment anyway. Congratulations on being so superior to the rest of us.

You’re supposed to do that in the cockpit, captain. Hence the name.

Bartender studiously avoided looking anywhere in that direction. It was a rural bar in a small town, no local PD, I think bartender decided to make the best of it and pretend it wasn't happening. It might have been a week night, there were very few customers and nobody said a word.
Yikes. I feel for the bartender, who probably was pi$$3d off but did the only thing possible in those circumstances. Your dad must have been mortified too, having been nice enough to take you and your friend out and then....

Early one Saturday morning after some (very loud) sex, I went down to the kitchen in the nude to get some ice water. On my way back up I heard the bathroom door down the hallway open. Not only did that startle and confuse me because there wasn’t supposed to be anybody else in the house, but out came DS19 still in a sleepy fog…and also completely nude. I screamed, he let out an expletive or two, and we both disappeared into our rooms until getting up the nerve to face each other at breakfast.
It turns out he had decided to come home that weekend and pay us a surprise visit. After arriving in the middle of the night, he went to bed and then woke up to go to the bathroom assuming the coast was clear since nobody would be awake that early. Just. Really. Bad. Timing. But we can both at least laugh about it now. DH thought it was hilarious from the beginning.
This is cute and actually pretty funny. In this case at least you could use the ol’ mom’s line of “relax, you ain’t got nothin I ain’t already seen before” to put his mind at ease.

The one time we stupidly forgot to lock the door, his assistant opened it and there we were--not totally naked, I should add, but what we were doing was evident. The assistant was a very tough older gal who balked at nothing and who had a wicked, dry sense of humor. She merely stood there a moment taking us in, shook her head, and stepped back and shut the door. I was embarrassed for a second before he started laughing and then I found it hilarious too. She never said a word about it, but he told me that when he went in his office the next day, he found a container of upholstery cleaner on his desk. We laughed about that for ages.
Uh, was this your boss or your husband?
Maybe a boss who became a husband

I was staying in a hotel, a rather nice one, in Dallas, and a woman knocked on my door in the middle of the night totally naked and I was scared to death it was some scam and put the chain on and opened the door and she said something sexually provacative and I was like WTH? and slammed the door shut. I called the front desk to complain, they transferred me to security and said they knew about her and that she was "a little intoxicated" and that they'd be up in a minute. I have sleep issues and had to be up very early in the AM to drive 3 hours to take a deposition so I was furious.
And the punchline is that in the morning when I was leaving she was coming out of the room next door in nice business clothing. She was incredibly embarrassed and apologized profusely and I told her to get it together before she gets hurt.
Mania is the only explanation I can think of, intoxication alone isn't going to cause that level of nonsense.
This is actually a chilling story. You were right to tell her she would get hurt if she didn't pull her act together. Whether due to mental illness or intoxication or both, she was at such huge risk for being assaulted.
Yeah, it was extremely concerning. When it happened I was a late 30s female lawyer who had to get up in a few hours to get on the road for work. Thank god it was me in the room and not some scary guy. But based on the comments made by security when I called the front desk, it sounded like she'd knocked on some other doors or at least been seen in the halls naked. When it happened I actually thought it was some criminals going around trying to get into people's rooms -- like she'd be out there with no clothes making all of these comments to get people to open the door and when the door gets opened the criminals push in and rob you or worse. That is why I put the chain on when I opened the door. And I only opened the door because I thought there was a possibility she'd been terribly hurt or something and was seeking help. But nope, she was just a woman in the room next to me -- apparently traveling for business as well -- off her rocker.
Sounds like an Ambien issue. I had a couple of scary things happen to me similar and stopped it all together because of it.
Ambien? More like narcotics and hard liquor.
There are many reports of Ambien causing this kind of thing.
