My DS is at Miami- he also liked NYU, Tulane, USC, and Boston because he wanted to be city adjacent and sort if mid size school. Had some larger safeties. Did not get into USC but did the others. Loves Miami.

I'm curious about Wisconsin. I get Tulane and the other privates b/c they likely have similar offerings for student support, school size and student-teacher ratio. I get the state schools in SC, GA and FL b/c they would have similar weather. Why Wisconsin? I know it's a good school, but what would be it appealing to a kid who likes Miami?
Application to Miami wasn’t all about sunshine and warmth, but rather quality of school at dc’s level.
Did your kid end up choosing Wisconisn?

What was DC's level? MY DC isn't aiming for ivy, but is a straight A student.
