They also don’t know what month is what number, how to write or read cursive, how to do long division, the state capitols, anything about eastern civilizations, etc. They do know lots about the civil rights movement and great migration and slavery and racism.
You realize that this is a huge issue when they hit the work place, right? This is a basic life skill. Please teach them, asap.
