Subject: Cousin dating someone who is brown/black and from a different social class and I want to make sure he feels comfortable
When I'm 25 and at an event with my GFs family/ older relatives then I'm likely to be reserved, as I would be in any group of acquaintances ('acquaintances' as opposed to 'friends'). It's NOT because I'm speechless in awe of your Newport tent.

I’m 45, he’s 25.
I think my post is pretty clear. I’m not uncomfortable. He seems to be though. And the feeling of being the odd man out is universal. However, because of some of the dynamics at play I am super open that there could be ways of making him feel comfortable that I have not thought about yet. I named the specifically the background context in case that was relevant to anyone’s weighing in.
Why do you think this is your responsibility. Serious question.

Disagree. These are all white people who merged with various cultures and adopted these subs cultures. The so called "Middle East" are essentially white people and share such traits: straight hair or wavy, straight noses or has a slight bent, pink skin (various shades of it that can tan).
