Let me guess - you buy your bottled drinks by the multipack, right? So not only are you putting more plastic into the waste stream, but you’re also paying more per fluid ounce.

Clearly you’re Ivy League educated.

Some people you don't have to satirize; you just quote 'em.

It’s gotten so out of hand. A 2 litter for $3 is at least better than paying over $3 for a fountain drink at a burger place.

Looks like everyone attending my family cookout this weekend will have to enjoy lemonade instead.

Me! Love my Coke Zero.

Me too. I don’t feel guilty about it either. Most people have some kind of vice. This is mine.

Eh, it's overpriced, but probably heavy-ish to ship and transport. I certainly don't buy it often, but if I wanted to have it at a cookout or party, I'd just pay for it.

Anonymous wrote:Inflation really does surprise you if it’s a product you don’t buy often. I usually stock up at Costco on my antiperspirant (Dove) so I had not bought any for a long time. Was shocked to see it at CVS for $9! So I went with Secret which was only $3. I’m definitely opting for store brands and bargain brands now.

CVS has terrible regular prices and a heavy component and cash rewards model. That's why there are jokes about "How Many CVS Receipts is it from the Earth to the Sun?"

Most individual items are high-priced there. Target is frequently $1-$3 cheaper per item in my area.

The sale prices are acceptable.
