There were a bunch of Georgetown people in my class at Georgetown Law in part because the school permitted Georgetown undergrads to be admitted early decision without taking the LSAT.

Georgetown undergraduate alumni were also heavily represented amongst the top 10% of the class so it was mutually beneficial.

Well, you know which school is the #1 feeder to each of those law schools...the undergrad institution.


1) The law school could have a bias for the institution's undergraduates
2) The undergraduates could have a bias for their alma mater's law school
3) Both of the above are true

I think 2 is most likely the biggest factor. Rankings matter to the law schools so they are not likely giving kids a free pass on stats (GPA and LSAT).
