I meant that I’d wait until you can start to get same day appointments vs trying to Expedite through post office because it sounds like your trip is too close. But I would also call senators office.

Just be aware that depending on when your flight is, you won't actually get the passport on the same day. I had an appointment to get a passport yesterday, and since my flight isn't until next Thursday, they told me to come back on Monday to pick it up. It's likely only "same day" if you are literally flying out on the same day, or the following day. But I wouldn't put it off that long.

Oh wow! That’s good to know! Crazy to make the process so complicated. What if you lived an hour away? Bad experience to have to go twice. Safe travels to you!

The "6 month rule" is common, but for many countries it's 3 months, and for some it's just "non expired passport"

However, it's the airline rules that you must follow. The airline takes on all the risk of people getting rejected so they often will turn back people with less than 6 months of validity.

I am in Europe by myself right now.

And gave done it alone with a child many times.

Work on becoming more independent.

Your family is teaching your children out-of-date gender roles.

Between her feeling like she can't travel without her husband and doing all the work for his passport, I am sickened.

Many offices have dedicated people that handle passport issues.
