He’s been the head coach since 2017 and won 3 state championships.
A teacher cannot coach if they want to be promoted to a high level administrator position so word on the street is the SSSAS boys lax coach is taking on a top administrative position. Hopefully SSSAS does the impact move and hires a well connected club coach with experience that can elevate the program, increase depth/talent and attract some high academic student athletes.
Where is this "word on the street" coming from? There aren't any administrative positions posted to their website right now, and it is awful late in the year to be expecting one to be posted for the upcoming school year....... unless the HC would be stepping down now in anticipation of taking on a top administrative position for the 2025-2026 school year? But that seems pretty presumptive.

Why the change? Where is the former coach going?
Former coach was asked to resign before the season ended. Still teaching, not coaching.
School is investing a lot to try and retool their athletics program and like any business they wanted to go in a different direction than the former coach. When it happened, during or after season, is irrelevant. The school is there now and SSSA should be a good spot for a good hire that wants and has the ability to build a quality program.
Dynamics of DMV lax have changed. SSSA doesn’t have strong local rec programs to feed it anymore and top players that would historically choose SSSA are now willing to travel farther to play for other programs. It’s happened quickly but short of hiring a top coach & recruiter and a change in Admissions approach to prioritizing male athletes, SSSA is entering a major downtown in boys lax.

What change at SJC? Two WCAC final teams. Boys have strong 26 and 27 classes. Girls will reload over a season or two. What's the issue?
