But yeah it’s not like someone who is a clear starter for MLSN or ECNL girls is likely to play EDP. Absolutely correct for the dedicated, elite players. EDP is not the top nowadays or even close.

Is there enough room on the local mlsn and ecnl girls teams for all the local players who are starter material?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Programs that have ECNL generally have one team per age group in ECNL and one in ECNL R.

Potomac isn’t within a million miles of ECNL girls between geographic proximity to BSC and dismal performance. Seriously, there is absolutely zero chance of this happening at any time in the foreseeable future. The girls program is extremely weak plain and simple.

What I guess may have a small chance could be getting an RL team, as lately ECNL has admitted clubs RL only.

Potomac briefly had a partnership with Metro United for GA. That flamed out fast between Potomac not supplying any real talent and geographical inconvenience.

There’s probably room for some clubs to partner up for GA in MoCo? Or maybe Potomac can get there alone but they’d struggle mightily if that happened now barring a massive influx of talent. They wouldn’t want an Alexandria situation, where it took over Metro and then was booted shortly thereafter for performance.

No - Potomac boys are ECNL and Bethesda boys are MLS Next. Bethesda girls are ECNL.
