The high school cross country team. My kids are still BFFs with a group of teammates. Supportive, kind, responsible, respectful kids.

My favorite time with MCPS as a student:

--Going to NYC with my school newspaper crew for the Columbia HS Journalism conference
--Being a "TA" for an elective period in HS
--The TP Magnet Florida trip, may it RIP

My favorite time as a parent:
--Kinder promotion
--First day photos
--Getting to chaperone ES field trips

The BEST? Experiencing the system's (district down to Principals) ability to CommunicatE. I know many on here will agree

When you call central office for clarification and they do not know the answer to something their office is supposed to know. Have worked with many bureaucrats, this one is unbelievable.

DD would likely say the 8th grade Quebec trip. I would say the second grade butterfly release.
