Lots of good privates but I don't know how admissions chances are in mid-hs.
Other burbs have good districts but they are racist.
Notice that you describe the other burbs as racist, but Highland Park is a white, insular bubble. Hmmm...
I should have explained that many of the burbs are actively pursuing racist policies. HP/UP is not but it is baked in via the original restrictive covenants.
Nearly all of Texas is very racist.
Your statement is such a lie.
Gun culture. Beauty pagents. No thank you
Shootings in DC are not rare. Beauty pageants are in DC, too. Where do you live that there are no guns or beauty pageants?

Because most people don’t GAF about climate change, despite what the chicken littles want us to believe.
No one cares if it’s hot. And no one is clamoring to move to cold weather cities or states. No one except the chicken littles. Let them.

Dallas has booming communities of all ethnicities and nationalities. Growing South Asian population, large Asian population, Latinos go without saying.
HP/UP are definitely much whiter than most of the other proper Dallas suburbs....
But who really cares? The people who obsess the most about diversity, from what I can tell, are the white Karens in ultra white areas like Bethesda...
Regarding cost, Dallas is a cheaper metro area than DC, BUT and this is a big BUT, HP/UP are possibly even more expensive than comparable areas in the DMV, but, and this is also a but, you also get nicer housing for your money. The teardowns in Dallas, unlike in the DMV, are actually replaced by something very nice. They know how to build houses in Dallas.
So it's ok for you to be racist and call white women Karens?
The new question, isn't it? Can white women be racist by calling out the hypocrisy of other white women?
No, they can’t.
Besides that other poster doesn’t even dislike all white women, just the self-hating ones who live in Bethesda.
I am the pp who asked that. Anyone can be an ass but when you say ' Karen' you immediately think of a middle age or older ( sexist) white eomab( racist) i have even heard people say ' male Karens'
What's wrong with calling entitled people as% holes?

Please don’t ever change. Stay far, far away from Texas. Never come here, and don’t spend any money on anything associated with Texas. We’ll be just fine without you and we do t want you compromising your principles thinking you need to save us.

Removing politics from this thread, Dallas is actually a really great place. There’s a very good art scene, amazing restaurants on every corner they do food right in Texas! You’re not constrained to Dallas county Denton county to the north and Fort Worth county to the west provide a lot of amazing housing opportunities, you will get a lot more bang for your buck than you do here, even though prices have gone up considerably in recent years.
Um, no.
It’s already going to be in the 90s in the coming week. Then it will quickly be pushing or north of 100 for a lot of the summer. It’s blazing hot and miserable.
Plus: tornadoes.
And: weird insects, snakes, etc.
And Hurricanes too
Tell me you don’t know Dallas without telling me …. People really have a hard time conceptualizing the scale of Texas. NYC is closer to DC than Houston is to Dallas.
Hurricanes are mostly a huge plus to Dallas. We’re so far inland by the time they get to us they have lost all their punch and they are at most a bad thunderstorm. In the three to five days leading up to landfall around the Texas coast, the hurricanes suck up all the humidity from North Texas and you get very pleasant weather in Dallas. We’ll get some crowding as Houstonians make their way up DFW or SA to escape the storms.
Now bad ice storms in Dallas every five years or so are a different story….
