He’s mid 40s and single and still a narcissist. We do not speak but still have many mutual friends from grad school. After he discarded me, crushed my spirit and hopes and esteem after dating me for about six years, with a few dramatic breaks and reunions with grand gestures, he went on to repeat this pattern with a few other women over the past decade. Thank god I got away. Years of depression and anxiety caused by this person.

One joined a 3 letter agency (they called me to ask about him) and is untraceable.
One moved overseas and immediately knocked up a local. I saw him at a funeral last year and he was flirtatious.
One became an extremely successful lawyer married to a high-powered lady. No kids. My mother wishes I married that one. He was liberal and I am conservative and not very ambitious.
Last one is still single and has worked the same low-paying job since graduation. I imagine he's still a womanizer, too.

Haven't seen her in 20 years but we're FB friends. She's a SAHM with 5 kids.

We lost touch long ago. She became a psychologist. By all accounts, super smart and super cute. I think she got married and changed her name but not sure. She was always slightly angsty and I’m guessing still the same.

I’m married and my wife is wonderful and not angsty so no laments.

The ex I was most serious with is on his second marriage and is very happy. No kids and has a cool and unconventional career/life in Texas. No kids and Texas would never have worked for me. I’m very happy for him, though.

A guy I dated seriously in college came from a really screwed up family. He broke my heart and went on to date a woman who looked just like me. Ultimately, he became a teacher, got married, had two daughters and then went to prison for having sex with the teenage babysitter. She went to authorities in her early 20s. I only know this from googling him a couple of years ago. It took me a long time to recover after he broke my heart but talk about dodging a bullet! I’ve been happily married for 27 years. I feel so sorry for his wife and daughters and the teen girl he abused.

We dated in college. He Had a kid with someone he didn’t know too well in his early/mid 20s - the relationship was never all that serious from what I gathered. He got married in his late 20s and had 2 kids with his wife, cheated on her about 4-5 years in, divorced, he and the woman he cheated with seem to still be together and it doesn’t seem like she has a kid with him (yet? She’s still late 30s). He never could keep it in his pants so I’m not surprised.

Making $$$$ on wall street. He ended up with an older woman. Maybe they managed to have a child but I don't know. We don't really talk but we split pretty amicably. I'm a very different person now though.... it would be so weird to talk again.

He’s still making a bunch of money, still a playboy, still drinks too much. Great guy, but I’m so glad I met my adoring, stable, marriage-minded husband.

So like half died young.

One is a very successful chief of staff to a ceo saw on LinkedIn so not sure where he is personally. One has a new girlfriend and a blue collar job per Facebook- he messaged me on Valentine’s Day this year. Another is a PM for a foreign endowment per LinkedIn. One constantly posts that his kid turned out not to be his by dna testing and is single middle management accountant (I cheated on him too). One came out of the closet, I knew but now he’s out and proud on facebook. All are where I thought they would be.

My HS & college ex called me a few days ago because a mutual friend let him know my parent had recently died. We’ve seen each other at high school reunions over the years but that’s it. Neither of us have SM accounts.

We had a passionate but volatile relationship decades ago and I know I am the one who got away. He pretty much said as much. I’ve been married for a very long time and have DC while he’s been married maybe 15 years and no DC. He’s fabulously wealthy in a career that he was talking about in great detail way back in HS. Our lives are polar opposites now.

I enjoyed talking to him-it was kind of him to reach out and talk about my parent and share memories but I don’t expect to speak to him or see him until maybe another reunion - neither of us live near our hometown.

I guess my most significant would be my first husband - haven't spoken to him in probably 20 years, he is on his third marriage and has young children in his late 50s, as well as college age children (found this out through his open facebook profile just now).

I do have another ex that I am in touch with, and is a friend - we definitely weren't meant to be together romantically, but work as friends - he is rarely in the US and even more rarely in the same city, but we do meet up when he does and email a periodically.
