While I have a prescription for Zepbound it was hit or miss getting it so I do the compound via my PCP. I go each week for a shot. I started in Feb and titrated up to 1 mg sema which I have been on for the last 6 wks. I don't have side effects -- except for the good ones!

I couldn't be happier.

Yes. I just made a virtual appointment with the first person who had a spot available and we had a visit to discuss and then they called in the prescription.

My insurance wouldn’t cover it, so I ended up getting compounded semiglutide. But I could have just paid cash to get the Zepbound / Wegovy if I wanted to (OneMedical called in both for me, couldn’t get either one approved).

I have 45 pounds to lose and got compounded semaglutide, it’s working for me. No shame.

Zero shame. But not zero danger. At least according to my PCP, who warned me against using a compounding pharmacy.

Taking the name brand drug is not “zero danger” either.

Because medical providers would never be loyal to pharmaceutical companies…

Compounding adds variables, variables add risk.

Yeah can’t believe people are getting it prescribed who weight 155 or less. Not cool when there is a shortage

They are likely getting something compounded.

Correct. There is no shortage at the higher doses, and my doctor prescribed me compounded to titrate up.

Currently a size 8, sometimes a 6. Was a 12 before.

Lost 40 lbs over the course of a year, currently on a maintenance dose. I might try to lose a few more lbs over the next year but working on maintaining right now.

Exactly my stats. Really give it time. Many times plateaued and took month to lose more. I also didn’t think about or try to lose more.

Try Rivas Weight Loss if you can’t find the meds. They have their own compounder. Plus they do the injections if you are nervous about doing them.

That 12lb loss was after 4 weeks at the lowest dose!

I love how my brain chatter about food is GONE. I eat food to nourish my body. That’s it and I can focus on things that really make me happy.

While people who have way more than 20 lbs to lose can’t get the meds. Nice.
