How do you love someone and not want them to do well in life? What happens to them if you break up 20 years later and they are unemployed? What happens to them when they have not worked enough to earn social security or when they have not saved enough for retirement?
How can you be so selfish?
But men are saying they are fine with these GFs working. I presume she’s not building her life around his needs cooking and organizing his schedule or raising kids

She was struggling in Boston with a bunch of roommates + he moved her into his place on the West Coast. She seems happy he gives her a weekly allowance. She has saved up a pretty big nest egg. She has no bills. He doesn't want any more children because his kids are grown so she is freezing her eggs to eventually do it on her own
If your friend wants kids she should stop wasting her time at mid 30s. Freezing her eggs especially if they aren't fertilized has a low success rate
Agreed. I don't think she believes she's wasting her time. She grew up dirt poor, and for the first time she has some sort of stability. She doesn't worry about bills, she doesn't cook or clean. One big complaint was she thought she would get a break because of his age. She says she can't keep him off of her.
So she is a mistress or a sugar baby?

Back when I was single many years ago, I had my own apartment and lived alone for 8 years.
One girl I dated was absolutely beautiful and a lot of fun. But not marriage material. At that time she quit work for two years to do grad school, moved home and had no job.
In retrospect she should have been my stay at home girlfriend. I owned a coop with all utilities included so her moving in would cost me zero extra.
I have a beautiful girl to sleep with every night, someone around in case a delivery, someone to eat dinner with and unlimited sex. She would be out of her crappy childhood bedroom and living in a place she could not afford for free.
It all makes perfect sense.
A working girlfriend is just annoying none of money she earns is mine. She is not around when I want to hang out.
My none working GF a few times I had two locks on door. I gave her key to one. She came over 2-3 times after school made dinner, hung out. Put in sexy outfit and I walked home to a great night.
Was I stupid not to make her a live in girlfriend?
I dated girls in investment banking and law and found it very annoying. They were always changing meeting times, stressed from work, not in any mood to relax but none of their money was mine. I was just a BF.
And a stay at home GF tons of benefits too for them.
Am I crazy? But it is all the rage now.

Agree… and this is a thought that never occurred to this guy
