Consider the situation from a student's point of view. They have witnessed a mentally unstable student message about shooting, and were told by principal last evening, they could stay back home today if they do not feel safe, which most did. It is now principal's basic responsibility to provide clarity in communication how she has mitigated the threat and ensures students will be returning to a safe environment on Monday. As of now, she has failed to do so.
