And who would choose to "walk around all day" in heels as their go to summer comfort shoe?

Yes, I want to look cute but I also value a pain-free existence. If I had to wear those bloomingdale shoes you posted all day, I would be miserable! (NP)
I would also say that I think the Andres Assous shoes look a lot more like what an 80 year old would wear. That said I know some very fashionable 80 year olds! (My mom among them.)
I was just going to say my 83 YO mom keeps offering to buy me a pair because hers are so comfortable.

I really appreciate when someone comes on here and admits that some prior suggestions might not be totally worthless.
I don't want to wear the Crocs from their earliest model, but they have some great models now that fit the bill of "being on your feet all afternoon."
When I hear crocs I of course picture the clogs that are hideous, but I checked tout their sandal options and I agree that there are winners there. OP I’d look into them!
I've had some of the nicer wedge Croc sandals and have walked miles and miles in them. I am generally more comfortable in wedges than flats, though. YMMV.
I've also had super comfortable fits with Skechers wedge sandals like some these (some are higher, some are lower):

Some dansko sandals aren't too bad and the ones I've had got me through miles and miles of walking Italian cobblestones:

Teva also sometimes has pretty leather sandals. I found some at REI a few years ago but a quick web search is only showing the sporty kinds.
Yeah, they are not a step above Birks in fashion. They are at least a step below.

Op here— less than 2”? I have foot problems that make higher heels really painful. That eliminates most sandals many would consider cute. Also, my feet get tired with slides although Birks are okay. So, no slides also rules out a lot of other sandals most people would consider cute! I think I’m kinda stuck with sandals that are lower, and have back straps. I think that automatically looks geriatric to some people, which kind of bums me out. I do wear sneakers sometimes but also want sandals. Thanks for all your suggestions…

I honestly don't think there are any super cute ones. The closest I ever found was these Robert Clergerie flat leather slides but they stopped making this style. I just stick to sneakers because I decided I hate dirty feet...

I normally wear boat shoes in this situation, but my second choice for all day sundress sandals are both pairs of Dolce Vita. My first choice sandals are leather huaraches from a Mexican market that are perfectly broken in, I can walk miles in them. I’ve never needed much support for my feet though.

I don’t believe it. How are converse sneakers cool and keds are on the way out? They are practically the same shoe.
