So far we like:
Hadley & Mila
But I’m not 100% on either yet. Any name ideas would be appreciated !!
There aren't any names that have 3+ kids in one class anymore. Even the top 10 names aren't repeated that much. There might be ONE, or maybe 2-3 in the entire school. But honestly, this is just not a concern you should have. Use the name you like.
I like Hadley over Mila. Also think there are a bunch of good suggestions on here!
I disagree, there are at least 3-4 kids each named Luca and Matteo in my kid's grade.

Tell that to the Zack/Zach/Zaks at my kids’ school.

I agree. I went with Julia like a PP suggested, but also really like Hadley and think it goes well with Emmet.

Totally agree! Or like, Carson or Carter or Riley or something like that.
I know a baby Adeline, Dylan, and Cora, but only one each

Anonymous wrote:Emmett is an awful name so you should pick an equally awful name for the girl lest your son think you like her best. Sheila, Edna, Doris, Bertha are all terrible so one of them should work.

Anonymous wrote:FWIW, the only Mila I know is the child of a super-WASPy family and her older brother’s name is a really common very British sounding name.

That’s a fluke. There are zero kids named Luca or Matteo at my kids’ elementary school k-5. The only names that repeat in my kids’ grades are: Nora and Theo.
That must be a really small school. Most elementary grades have at least couple of kids named Ava or Maddie. Usually there are a few common boys names that are also repeated, like Chris or Ben.
I do not know any Avas and the only Maddie I know is in high school. No kids named Chris and one or 2 Bens. The names that may repeat are kind of random and specific to one social group (one school, one neighborhood, one group of friends, etc). The top 10 names are not nearly as saturated throughout the entire population like they were in the 80s-90s. Now I hardly know any kids w too 10 names and a name that may happen to be common in your kid’s peer group may be like 42nd most popular name in the country but just happens to reoccur among that specific group of kids. If you moved to a different region or even a different part of town, the most popular name would likely change.
