Bizarre. “Hey, you can’t stay and watch what you are potentially buying and paying for. You need to leave..” Is that how that went?
Personally, I feel it’s odd parents who don’t stay and watch what will be a super important part of their child’s year.

I get that the new coach will be at the tryout, but do you still reach out to the current coach to attend practices before the tryout?

This. A rare few dark horses placements can happen; but that's not common at all. If you show up for tryouts only don't expect anything but a lower team offer.

You are probably the parent who coaches their kid at practices and games and then dissects their performances on the car ride home.

That's not how they are presented to the general public. Clubs don't list on their website that parents should reach out to coaches ahrad of time, go to practices etc. They all pretend like the teams are decided at the tryouts.
They should be honest with people on how many slots per team were truly available per team prior to the tryouts so people don't waste their kids time.

Anonymous wrote:This is such a silly question; some of us are actual fans of soccer and enjoying watching the game, watching our children, checking out the level of play (is DS better/worse than his would be teammates?) I enjoy watching my child - good player, fun to watch...
