My husband is an electrical engineer. I'm a lawyer. I think our personalities fit together better than mine would with an artist.

Everyone loves my husband. He's on the quieter side but is really funny, very easy going, and can solve just about any problem.

So from my sample size of one, I say science-y men, but I think it depends a lot on the woman. I could see an artsy, live by the seat of your pants kind of woman might not find him appealing.

Artsy. And by artsy, I mean straight, clean cut theater/dance guys. Good looking and really committed/disciplined, what a mix!

Never been prouder of my degree from the college of arts and sciences.

Trick question. "Husband" is not a job with a set of requirements. It's a relationship with a specific context. This is like asking "Who make better kids? Sporty kids or bookish kids?" Like... it's beside the point.

Both of my sisters are married. one to an artist ( photographer) man one to a scientist ( engineer).

They both seem to be good husbands, but they are both kind, considerate and respectful men.

Male painters (and Sculptors) are notoriously moody/difficult. For artsy types, go for graphic designers, printmakers, woodworkers, architects.
