Its one thing to play on a nice grass field but Stringfellow Park (CYA) and Catharpin are garbage fields. Both these orgs have turf for every single one--even U-little teams--for their travel team games but have their older rec kids playing on awful, hole-y grass fields.
It used to be that Rec got the good fields on Saturday and travel got them on Sundays. Now there are SO many travel teams that travel gets good fields on both days and Rec gets what is leftover.
