I used to work a block away from a Nordstrom Rack and it was a fun diversion at lunch time to go for a walk on a nice day and pop in to look for 10 min. I found something to buy maybe 1 out of 8 or 10 trips.
This was me at Lord & Taylor. I think they thought I was stealing, because I wasvthere every day, but rarely made a purchase, if I did it was underwear on sale.
What kind of life are you leading that you can go to a department store every single day?

Anonymous wrote:I agree clothing selection isn't as good as it was years ago, but it's the thrill of the treasure hunt for me. Most times I don't find anything decent, but if you know your brands for the items you're interested in, you can get great deals. I've found a bit of le creuset, staub, all-clad, mauviel, etc from there.

Anonymous wrote:Although I don't go often anymore, I have had good luck at the Rack on 12th St. I purchased a $200 Rebecca Taylor tweed dress from there that has held up for several years. The Rack in Gaithersburg is not too bad either, but there is tons more junk at that location.
I don't consider Rack and Marshall's on the same level. Marshall's is pure junk these days.
Anonymous wrote:I used to find great stuff at Nordstrom Rack pre-pandemic. Now it’s all junk, which is a shame. The one good thing is that they had good return policies and I could order online (say, 4-5 pairs of shoes), and return to the store.
Anonymous wrote:It’s one of those right place, right time things. I popped in once and found lots of Baby Boden on the final markdown rack. For less than $35 I got $200 worth of Baby Boden (that had the original prices still on it). But that doesn’t happen every time. You need to know when to time the shipments.
