It's not a decision over whether to amputate a leg. It's just picking between one good college or another. Get a friggin' grip.

These choices are very similar and all very good. He will be fine whichever he chooses. Yes, it is normal for April to be a bit crazy with college trips and trying to decide. Chill.

Personally, if he gets into Michigan then no need to visit any of them, just put down the deposit for Michigan and hit accept

This is most common thing that happens. Kid gets in in spring, often visits, picks at end

I get it. I have an indecisive senior that warned us they might need up to until 5/1 to make a decision, add in FAFSA delays and trying to make a decision to sign up for admitted student visit or at least book a visit without knowing the full financial picture, and my senior staying 100% involved with every activity and adding some new ones which gave limited windows for admitted student days.

First I acknowledge that with COVID restrictions etc, the first two years of high school were tough and these experiences senior year, you don’t want to take for granted. Yes, important to make an informed decision on college, but balance that with what is missed by prioritizing college visit above these other experiences. So right now your kid has it down to two choices, as long as you can fit in both visits - they will have enough information to make a decision by the deadline. Unless there is a big advantage with housing, it doesn’t matter if they decide April 1 or May 1. Next, people think Michigan decisions will come out next Friday - they will know if they are in and there will be accepted student days dates available for the RD kids. At that point they like Michigan more than one of the other options, one visit gets dropped and replaced by a Michigan visit.

My kid likely won’t decide until May 1.

We have several admired student events next month.

He likes a lot of schools so it’s really going to come down to his he feels after these.

NP here. OP, it’s ok. My kid decided on 4/28 last year. We told them that they won’t get the best choice in housing due to the delay but that was something they were willing to forego for having more time to decide. We supported them in that too. It is fine. Next year this will seem like a distant dream.

I didn't think I was arguing. I asked if I'm being clouded by anxiety. He will go visit and see. Even if it's not an official day - he will meet others and walk around and get a feel for the vibe. Trying to not let it all get the best of me
