I can't stop thinking about the pp who said she wears knee high boots on a flight! I guess with precheck you don't need to take them off to go through security - but if it gets hot and stuffy you've got no relief! Or if your feet swell! Do you never get hot and stuffy, or have your feet swell?!
I'm not the PP who posted that, but I often wear knee high boots. I don't fly economy so swelling isn't usually an issue, and it's easy to take your boots off when you're in a pod in business/first.

They are really (really) comfortable (wearing them on a flight right now!). But they did get pilly really quickly. Kind of annoying because they weren’t cheap.
I bought the Amazon knock off of these recommended on Capital Hill Style and love them for travel. I’m washing them but not using the dryer hoping they will last longer that way.
I have them. They’re interesting and undeniably comfortable, and they look a little more polished than just cotton sweats.
You need a fabric shaver. It’s worth having for stuff like this and sweaters.
Can you link? I looked in that blog and couldn't find.

Anonymous wrote:I might be in the minority here but I always wear a loose-fitting midi dress in a light fabric with a slide shoe (ballet flat/mule/loafer) and a chunky knit over my shoulders if it gets cold on the flight. I find this combo is less constricting than athleisure for sleeping/resting and more versatile than a warmer lounge set. I also love that I look put together enough upon arrival to do things if hotel room isnt ready.

Clearly we have different standards. I wouldn't even pop out for an errand that requires me to be out of the car for more than 5 min in leggings and a t-shirt. I only own 2 t-shirts and I barely wear them. I certainly would never be seen walking around town like that. It's akin to college students wearing PJs to class - wierd.
OP,
I wear soft chinos, and a 3/4 sleeve top. Depending on location or season, I might wear a silk sleeveless shirt or carry a cashmere swear. I also normally have a light weight shell in my handbag. I like the patagonia one that scrunches down into it's pocket. This is so I don't get caught out if it rains or the weather changes. It weighs nothing and can fit everywhere. I wear comfortable shoes - still prefer my Vejas - and I don't care if my clothes are dated, as long as they look ok.
