Opposite here. In at UF, WL at UGA.
Curious about majors for both posters. Guessing that made the difference?
UGA doesn’t consider major for admissions purposes

Of course it happens — but some commenters here (wrongly) think that all colleges that consider yield are automatically second-rate. Realistically, all schools have to calibrate their admissions decisions to make sure they get a first-year cohort that's not too big, and not too small. They have dorm space and classroom size to consider — and the AOs' bosses also want to see a decent yield. Of course there are miscalculations, and some kids get rejected despite great stats and a genuine desire to attend, even as some lower-stats kids get in. I wouldn't use that as a way to disparage the school, though – that's not an easy job at all.

Was this all today? Or a prior year's cycle?

It just seems like an excuse for people to feel smug and superior about schools that seem to be doing "yield protection."
But of course we're not the admissions offices, and who knows – it's possible that many rejected applications at the lower-ranked schools had very little effort put into them, and the AOs could tell. They know what they're doing, and they can tell when a student is treating them as a safety they really have no interest in.
