Subject: Is Oppenheimer the most overhyped, overrated movie of all time?
The movie reminded me of the Imitation Game. A technical subject (physics vs computer science) set during WWII with the main character under investigation in the present day. Except the imitation game was actually an enjoyable film.

I found Oppenheimer boring and didn’t finish it. I generally like Nolan’s movies so I was disappointed. Emily Blunt’s accent was terrible, and there was no reason for Florence Pugh to be topless.

You know the joke about Titanic, don't you? A mother took her young daughter to see the movie, and she started crying hysterically during the scenes with DiCaprio & Winslett. The mom said, "Don't cry. It's just a movie. It didn't really happen."

Titanic is the most overhyped overrated movie I’ve ever seen. I recognize the technical accomplishments for the time but the acting was terrible and the story was annoying.

Black Panther won Oscars for original score, costume design, and production design.
But they were "running around like apes" (gross simile btw) so apparently apparently not worthy of those Oscars.
Yeah WTF about the ‘ape’ comment. But Black Panther has amazing costumes and the score was awesome. PP who made those disparaging comments seems unflappable in their disdain for an empowering movie like Black Panther.

I recently rewatched Oppenheimer with captioning and it helped a lot.
It was an uber-ambitious film with a LOT of characters -- because there were a lot of people involved.
I do agree the Florence Pugh sex scenes were probably over-the-top (although the relationship itself obviously featured prominently in his life).

I agree with this. A chaotic assortment of extremely well acted vignettes. While the visuals were dazzling and Cillian and RDJr were brilliant, overall the movie felt disjointed and rushed to me, despite the length.
