OP I’m 46 with a 12 and a 14 year old. It’s less physically taxing as they get older but emotionally more complicated. And lots of juggling activities. But you will get more time for yourself. And it sounds like you need more down time and better sleep. Work on the sleep first. And also ignore the snarky jerks who are acting like late 30s is too old to have kids.

Interesting. I’m 38 with two elementary aged kids and a baby who’s turning one. I wonder if I’ll be equally wiped out in ten years. And whether this is just part of aging; inevitable?

I'm 41 with 10 and 7 year olds in a dual income household with decently demanding jobs and it's exhausting. Like you, I don't get enough sleep, averaging 6.5 hours (less on weekdays, more on weekends) because getting up at 4:30am is the only way to squeeze in exercise.

I think "having it all" just means you're going to be super tired.
