They should get a free retake. A 90-minute delay could easily mess with performance, with hunger, fatigue, etc.

It seems like there are threads after every test date about irregularities.

It does make me wonder why people are fighting so hard for these tests to be required again. College Board with all its money can't figure out a consistent system for administering the exam.

And all of my kids have taken many standardized tests there over the years. The only ones that have been disasters are some of the SATs on school wide testing days. I've been reading DCUM religiously for the past 4 years and there have been NUMEROUS reports of horrible testing administrations or giant screw-ups at Jackson Reed (aka Wilson at the time) during both mid-week and weekend administrations of the SAT and ACT.

I'm a DCPS parent so this is not anti-DCPS for the sake of being "anti-DCPS" or any such thing. Just FYI.





So fine…there are a dozen testing centers within like 5 miles, so just sign up for one of those. It’s not your problem (fortunately).

My kid has never had problems taking tests at JR, but I am sure there are sometimes.

We can add on the previous Jackson Reed SAT day when the line was out the door to get in as they were not appropriately staffed to check kids in
Or the in school test day when they did not have enough tests for the class so the kids at the end of the alphabet did not get to take the PSAT.
