That's violent and/or student on student crime. There are definitely cities less safe in general than others.

Not necessarily.

That is the tool of most homicides and suicides in this country.
Actually, stay away from inner city schools.

They are both at a far end of campus and felt pretty isolated. The thing that surprised me most about the UGA campus is that some pretty run down public housing projects right next to if not directly on campus. Definitely gave me a bit of concern. I just learned that there was an armed robbery of a student last Friday night near the dorms. Definitely a lot to consider. We also never saw a single police officer anywhere on campus or in Athens. It does not feel like the University or City care much about student safety.
I suspect that's about to change quickly after this incident. where were the housing projects? We visited last year and I didn't notice any.
I never saw police on any other campuses we visited either. There is no good to any death, but I suspect they will be running a much tighter ship.
I went to UMD in the 90's and the College Park rapist walked into our house! We were on the news. It's all so crazy. Where else is your DD looking?
