They won’t release class lists until the week before school. Your influence over class lists will be minimal. They try to balance IEPs, genders, and kids learning English and that usually is complex enough.

I don’t know! But RCF Spanish immersion is a complete lottery and the way you’re talking it’s as though you’ve already gotten in- wait! Maybe you have! If so, congrats. If not, move to the Oakland Terrace catchment area for dual immersion if you are dead set on Spanish.

It’s just… your questions seem like maybe you haven’t had a kid in public school yet. And your expectations are sky high for the administration to attend to your very special child.

I can see if bc I was totally and completely the same way heading into MCPS and now, decades and many children later, I am more aware of what’s going to be possible in public school and what’s not.

Anyway, good luck! Or congrats! about RCF. And if you are moving to the RCF area to try for the lottery, consider OT instead. You can always get into the RCF lottery from there.

Oh, OP. I worry that you are expecting WAY TOO MUCH from a public school and are going to be super disappointed.
