Some do since it is typically not an honors class so it might lower your GPA if it's over 4.0. Almost every mcps class is out of 5. Idiotic but true.

No. PE is usually a freshman course to get it out of the way.


Mine took it in grade 12 because there were two electives they wanted to try in grade 9, one of which became a major interest and the other was dropped. I am glad they did that exploration in grade 9 because it helped them find friends and confirm an interest.

Do you know why that is? What if kid takes net sports in first semester and wants yoga in second?
