The affairs made me grossed out by sex. I can barely find interest in someone I'd like much less want to have some revenge affairs. If you don't like someone doing it to you why would you be turned on by doing it to someone else? I'd rather take a vacation to an island.

I wasn't married at the time, but a revenge affair certainly helped me move on. I'm a woman fyi.

You are fooling yourself if you honestly believe that just “a few flings” are all that is needed to reduce your pain.

In fact, by doing so things just may get worse.

The best thing you can do for yourself is spend some time apart from your wife if at all possible.
Try to focus on yourself & try to figure out if you can accept this new normal.

Because after an affair - the marriage dynamic will now have new dynamics.
