Lots of women wear tops on the beach in St Barths, especially American women. Not a big deal either way. Do what you are comfortable doing.

I’ve been to many topless beaches (France, Spain, etc…) and there are always women who are fully covered. Not everyone is topless.

OP, I have a pretty good sense of humor. What I would do is get myself one of those one-piece swimsuits that has a graphic that makes it look like you are nude. Better yet, they have some that are the Borat-style of thong with a hairy chest!

As an American dad, I would be quite surprised and possibly a bit uncomfortable if one of my wife's friends went topless around me on a vacation. But if everyone in our group was doing it, maybe I'd feel differently. Then again, I highly doubt that my wife would, so that would probably be the end of it.

Do what you want. I'm in the camp where I have no problem being topless on a beach in Europe with DH and a bunch of people I don't know, but it would be a mental hurdle to be topless around a bunch of American dads I see at school pick, so that's where my line is drawn. I'm comfortable enough in myself and with my body to not be fazed by a Korean sauna or Japanese onsen or anything naked with any female friends, but I'd eat a live salamander before going naked or topless in front of my dad, a colleague, or a friend's husband.

It's a little off your (American?) Husband feels differently. My husband totally gets it.

Recently went to St. Barts. A few people sans bathing suits on Saline Beach, but for the most part pretty discrete. If that’s what you enjoy, go to the left side of Saline Beach and the right side of Gouverneur Beach. Not a big deal.

We go there annually. People are pretty discrete at Saline Beach, even those who are fully nude. Gorgeous beach. Salines Garden is a small boutique hotel nearby, and Le Tamarin, one of the best restaurants on the island, is nearby as well.

Discreet.

I have absolutely no problem being nude around other women. I would feel pretty weird around male strangers. But there is NO WAY I would do it around male friends! My husband would NOT like that either.

DW has perfectly scupluted boobs, incredible butt, very feminine. However she will absolutely not wear anything that put her boobs and butt on display. Even the commonly used leggings she makes sure she has a shirt that covers her butt. Some women just aren't comfortable being half naked in public.
