It's garish, eccentric older boho.

More subtle, outdoorsy older boho would be Sundance Catalog.

Their blankets are amazing and worth the $250 price. I've given them as gifts. Dog beds are also super cute.

summer 2024 and some velvet tops in winter 24 are def my style and not even too flashy or old looking. love that I can wear very tight velour/fake velvet pants with the blouses that go right on the butt and be casual yet semi-formal in a house during the holidays or during school events. i think the prices are high even on sale but these are pieces you will have forever and I am one of those people that uses the same handbag for 5 to 16 years (true story) so I don't like to spend on cheap things esp now that i have been working at home and wear the same 2 outfits every christmas for the past 4 years and just change them up a little (as long as they fit, they are classics)

The quality is excellent. I buy things if I see something I like. It’s really hit or miss but there are some really fun items you can find. And I love that the quality still seems high. I hate fast fashion and want things to list. JW delivers on that. I tend to like Alice and Olivia, Rails, Zimmerman for a splurge item.

Agree and love Rails too.

I'm a big fan and 50 but I loved them in my early 40s. It just depends on what piece it is. I like embroidery and I'm into high quality material and comfort. They size liberally so a Sm in this brand usually works for me when in others I'm a M.

I don't look at branding like that either - if the brand has good design - it's good design. I loved Eileen Fisher at age 30 and I still love her today - it's minimalistic and typically comfortable. Everyone is going to sell a skirt, a shirt, etc. It depends totally on the piece you are looking at but design typically follows a pattern. In the case of Johnny Was they do a lot of embroidery.
