I was surprised at that too. All of the top 1-10 and 20 Achilles wanted essays about it as well. Some you had to pick from a drop down and then write why and what your future plans were.
I had no idea as a senior. It was biology or English and I was undeclared when I applied.
Thankfully my Senior has a very clear idea of what he wants to study and courses, reasons essays all intertwine.
My second born is all over the map.
