Margaret was negligent. I would never in a million years let someone I just met be responsible for my young child in a setting like that. If they needed to split up, let Daisy handle the older kids.
And yes, Nicole Kidman looks like an alien.
Is that what happened in the book?

I could barely watch The Northman.Jennifer Aniston is the same way. I'm not focused on the show, but how her lips and mouth are so awkward now. Do they not see this in the mirror? Is looking like this better than having a few wrinkles?

I don't like when every character knows key facts I don't know. Why? You don't have the hit me over the head with it but could you just tell me the central premise of the show in the first episode?
I don't care about the Kidman age/face issue anymore because she makes a lot of limited series like this and I've just accepted this is what she's doing and this is what she looks like while doing it. This is like the 5th show like this I've watched her in. It's fine. I actually think it is kind of similar to us all collectively pretending Tom Cruise isn't also super old. They've probably had similar amounts of work done and likely work equally hard at looking as well preserved as possible.
Sure.
But wouldn’t you think it’s weird if Tom Cruise played the father of a 4 year old?
Anonymous wrote:I'm two years younger than Nicole Kidman.
When is she going to start playing the grandmother instead of the mother of elementary school aged children?
That role was starting to slip away for her in The Others (2001) when she was already 34 years old.
And then she played the same role in Big Little Lies (2017-2019) when she was 50 years old.
This isn't sexism, but realism. I don't know why she's doing this to herself. She's not her exDH Tom Cruise.

I think I dont notice Nicole Kidman as much after 9 perfect strangers. I must have gotten used to her face, but I remember being a bit shocked watching 9PS.

I was appalled at how her face looked in the recent Special Ops: Lioness show, though. My theory is that she had work done right before filming that show and it has settled somewhat now. Her lip flip that was so obvious before looks normal now.
Eh, I still think her lip flip looks really bad. I also don't like the work she's had done on her eyes. Combo of surgery and Botox I think. But in an effort to create as much tightness/smoothness as possible, she created this little triangle of crepey puckering on her eyelid that is only more obvious because of how smooth and unwrinkle her brow and outer eye are are. It's uncanny.
But agree regarding her hair. Wigs, yes? They look fake and the color seems off somehow, I think too light?
I know this is negative and not picky but these things bother me specifically because she's so stunning overall so the bad plastic surgery and awkward hair really jump out.
She WAS stunning but she has the kind of pale skin and curly/frizzy hair that don't age well at all. If she didn't have massive amounts of work done I'm sure she would look 60 (which clearly she does not want to look).
Her hair alone probably took a ton of upkeep even at age 30. That fine, curly hair look terrible as it grays--the texture gets even kinkier and more wild.

I'm also distracted by an extremely tall woman who looks like she needs to be hooked up to an IV due to anorexia. She truly needs to gain at least 25 pounds to not look ill. The acting, in all the roles, isn't good either. But, it's something to watch, so...
