Went on a Christmas cruise and nobody got sick.

I've travelled internationally since 2021 and havent gotten covid (*knock on wood*).

I'm quite careful, masked on planes and vaxxed.

Half my small office had Covid over Christmas and half seem to have it now.

When I remember, I mask up on flights. On a plane now and kicking myself for not having a mask handy. This is my third flight of 2024.

Yes. Made two flights to FL and hosted family from all over the U.S. at Thanksgiving and Christmas, we did NOT get Covid.

It is an airborne virus. So yes, we have learned a ton. That cleaning the air is the major factor to avoiding Covid. If you can't then mask. HEPA filters running in my home have kept us from getting covid several times---when visitors then tested positive a day later after visiting.

Travelled several times in Nov/Dec. Main Tip: Mask when inside for everything except restaurants. Even masked for a concert at MSG. We did that and avoided covid. Friends with us on one trip did not, and they ended up with covid.

It is possible to live life and avoid covid. Masking is the key to doing this.
Sure you could get it at a restaurant, but our approach is to avoid it when you can.

My family visited the UK last fall and came back with a bad and annoying cold. In fact, got sick in the middle of the trip.

So my advice is hand washing of course but also wear a mask at the airport, on the plane and in crowded places.

London was beyond packed even just walking down the street, with smokers blowing their smoke everywhere. That smoke also had their dirty germs and I’m convinced that’s how my family ended up sick. Filthy London smoker people. Ugh

You have issues, putting it politely. You don't get sick from passing cigarette smoke.

Anyone who knows London well knows that smoking levels have collapsed in the last 20 years. It's barely more noticeable than DC these days so I'm struggling to see where you were forced to endure crowds of smokers all the time and everywhere. There's definitely more vaping the cigarettes but even vaping is falling off.

We went to Aruba in November and France at Christmas and didn't catch covid or anything else. Didn't mask or take any precautions.

In the time between getting home from Aruba and leaving for France, DS3 got a cold, likely at school, which I then got and turned into 6 weeks of bronchitis.

The only time we have worn masks in the past year+ is taking DS2 to the pedi last week for pink eye. When we walked in, the "sick area" was overflowing with kids coughing, talking about throwing up, etc. and it just felt like a hotbed of infection to sit in for 30 minutes.

We've all only had Covid once (Late May 2022).

When we fly we do mask. Other than that we don't (and we go to a lot of concerts, movie theaters, malls etc.)

Family of 5 - flew from LA, Chicago, Boston & DC to Florida for winter break. I think most of us masked on planes/airports. All were boosted, except one who had Covid in Oct. No one got sick.

I've taken multiple domestic work trips and one overseas trip. No mask. No covid.

Yes, went to Portugal and no Covid for the family. Did not mask anywhere.

All our covid comes from school.

Yes! We travelled mid-Dec to Jan 1 and didn’t get sick at all. 3 airplane flights. I always, always turn the overhead fans on near me. I feel like this helps but can’t say for sure

Yes. Flew to Jamaica week between Xmas and new years. 9 of us. No one got COVID.
